Marie-Ève Beaupré commissaire et Carole Jungpeter m’ont demandé de créer la campagne de l’exposition «femmes volcans forêts torrents» au MAC (Musée d'art contemporain). J’ai voulu célébrer la féminité, l'organicité, ainsi que le rapport au territoire. Plutôt que de se percevoir comme des entités distinctes ou extérieures au monde, ces artistes ont embrassé une posture où elles sont intimement soutenues par le territoire environnant. / Marie-Ève Beaupré, the curator, along with Carole Jungpeter, tasked me with leading the campaign for the exhibition "femmes volcans forêts torrents" at the MAC. The aim was to honor femininity, organicity, and the connection to the territory. Instead of viewing themselves as separate or outside entities from the world, these artists have adopted a stance in which they are deeply supported by the surrounding land.
Ce territoire n'est pas simplement un espace occupé; il est envisagé comme un lieu vivant qui participe activement à la création et à l'expression de chacune des artistes. L'interdépendance a guidé toute la création. Les couleurs sont puisées à même le territoire; thé des bois, saumon, terre, asclépiade. / This land is not merely an occupied space; it is perceived as a living place that actively contributes to each artist’s creation and expression. Interdependence has guided the entire creative process. The colors are drawn directly from the land; forest tea, salmon, earth, milkweed.
